Warmland House Shelter
2579 Lewis Street
Warmland House is 30 bed emergency shelter for those who are without housing or require assistance to meet their basic needs for food, clothing, shelter and hygiene. Warmland also provides 24 minimal barrier transitional housing studio apartments designed to accommodate individuals who can live independently, yet benefit from support and assistance in stabilizing their lifestyle. Here they develop the skills to break the cycle of homelessness to successfully make the transition to ‘housing ready’.
The commercial kitchen and dining area serves breakfast and dinner for up to 50 people daily. A volunteer run garden has raised beds and a large greenhouse that grows food seasonally for use in the kitchen.
Join us for a tour of Warmland as part of Mental Health Week (May 6-12, 2019). Our friends from the Knights of Columbus will host their monthly barbecue. We will have burgers, cupcakes and will provide tours of the shelter and the Warmland Garden.
Naloxone Training will also be available to any that are interested and participants will leave with a free Narcan Kit.
